The historic St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club - founded in 1924, is the oldest shuffleboard club in the world, and still going strong with around 1,700 members. The St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club is iconic for standardizing the game. The club committee worked out a standardized set of rules that governed not only the play of the game but the specifications of disks and cues, and the dimensions of the court right at this very club!
